World Of Christmas
Christmas season is the time to kiss and be kissed under the mistletoe. We are presenting some tips for kissing under the mistletoe.

Kissing Under the Mistletoe

The tradition of kissing under the mistletoe is said to be associated with the Greek festival of Saturnalia. The use of mistletoe was also found in the primitive marriage rites, as it was believed that mistletoe had the power to confer fertility. Another belief connected with the mistletoe was that it possessed 'life-giving' powers. Scandinavian people considered mistletoe to be a plant of peace and people coming under it, including couples fighting amongst themselves and even enemies, had to make up or declare truce, atleast temporarily.

In the 18th century, the people of England introduced the concept of 'kissing ball'. During Christmas time, if a young lady was caught under the ball of mistletoe, she could not refuse to be kissed. Even today, the custom of exchanging a kiss under the mistletoe is found in many European countries and even Canada. Kissing under the mistletoe is an art in itself and its better to be well prepared for the time you catch, or are caught by, someone under the mistletoe. If you are a little apprehensive about kissing under the mistletoe, make use of the tips on 'how to kiss under the Christmas mistletoe' given below:

No Chewing Gum Please
During the Christmas season, you never know when you will be caught under the mistletoe. And trust me, a gum in your mouth can be a major turnoff for the one who's kissing you. It is better to avoid chewing gum during this season.

Cigarette and Tobacco is a Big No-No
If you are the one who's used to smoking or chewing tobacco, Christmas is the perfect time to quit this bad habit. I am sure you don't want to spoil the perfect mistletoe kiss because of something as harmful as cigarettes and tobacco.

Fresh Breath is a Great Turn On
Bad breath is a major turn off for the person who is kissing you. Whenever you are going outside during the Christmas season, make sure that you brush your teeth well. Avoid eating anything that will make your mouth smell, like onions, garlic and other smelly things.

Smell Right
Just like bad breath, body odor is also a big no-no while kissing. Before stepping out of the house, put on a sensual smelling deodorant or perfume. I assure you that the person kissing you will linger on for more time than was initially intended.

Kissing Someone You Don't Like Much
If, and when, someone you don't like catches you under the mistletoe, just be polite. Smile and offer him/her your cheek. If he/she still moves towards your lips, turn your face and offer the other cheek. Before he/she makes any other move, smile, say something nice and slowly move away.
