Christmas Greeting Poems

The festival of Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. This is a season when every person tries to renew their faiths or beliefs and tries to help the poor and the needy. One fascinating fact is that the festival is very secular in nature and is widely celebrated by people all over the world. However, the customs and traditions of observing this festival differs from place to place as well as among different families. Despite this, some activities remains the same for all like family gatherings, church services, carols etc.

One way to get into the spirit of the season and spread the magic of the festival is by dedicating small poems as greetings to your near and dear ones. This can be exclusively for your mom and dad as a note of thanks or as a Christmas welcome for your close friends and relatives. You can also write or print these poems over cards and send them to your near and dear ones who are far away from you. Some beautiful Christmas greeting poems are given below in this article.

Christmas Greeting
In the silent echoes of the night
The twinkling of stars guide our way|
Sparkling crystals spread before us
To remind all we have friends
Not only very near
But far away as well

It is within our hearts we find
That tiny thread of caring
At times we are selfish about sharing
So we just leave these feelings behind

Reach in and grasp that thread
Blow it into the blistering wind
Wait for it to be found
You will be surprised how far it goes around.

A Christmas Greeting

Welcome, Brazilian brother--thy ample place is ready;
A loving hand--a smile from the north--a sunny instant hall!
(Let the future care for itself, where it reveals its troubles,
impedimentas,
Ours, ours the present throe, the democratic aim, the acceptance and
the faith;)
To thee to-day our reaching arm, our turning neck--to thee from us
the expectant eye,
Thou cluster free! thou brilliant lustrous one! thou, learning well,
The true lesson of a nation's light in the sky,
(More shining than the Cross, more than the Crown,)
The height to be superb humanity.
(Author - Walt Whitman)

The Gift of Knowing You

The Christmas season fills our hearts with joy;
Bright, happy days bring special kinds of pleasure.
We're wrapped in the excitement of it all,
The sights, the sounds, the smells, the tastes we treasure.
Yet when we have some quiet time to think
About our finest blessings all year through,
We focus on our family and our friends,
And appreciate the gift of knowing you!

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas
it's a song heard in the wind.
It's a candle lit in windows
let this Holy Time begin...
to enlighten - Sweet Devotion!
All emotions are set free.

Glory, Glory! Christmas Story!
Sing your hymns and lullaby
to the Heavens with the Angels
Alleluia, Lord on High!

Alleluia, Alleluia with the Angels we can fly
with the Church Bells in the steeple
ringing praises to the sky.

Raising voices, celebration, exaltation -
Christ we cry!

Oh! Redeemer, Prince of Peace,
this we pray, cannot deny -
You are King and our Salvation
Preparation - Lord Most High.

Hear our prayers, our thanksgiving
humbly offered, tender, heard.
All Our love, Our adoration
Baby Jesus, Lord and Word.

Souls sent soaring!
Joy uplifted, Reverence blessed,
the Poem stirred!
You are King, God,
Son and Father
You are Light! His Holy WORD.

Born of the Father On this evening
through Mother Mary,
sweet Child of Thine!
Savior of Us, to mankind given
Of Thy Love Lord,
this Child Divine!

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas!
Happy Birthday, Christ we cry!
Sweet Remembrance
of Our Savior,
Baby Jesus, Christ Most High!

Merry Christmas Daddy

The Christmas lights twinkle
and reflect in my tears,
as I suddenly realize
it's been almost a year.

My daddy left us
and his earthly home.
He's off in the heavens
to eternally roam.

As luck would have it,
he left his best in me;
from his sarcastic wit
to his "evil eye" gene.

My sons' didn't know
much of my dad.
Still they cherish what little
time that they had.

But long before leaving
his home here on earth,
we all gained from his values
of pride and self-worth.

So my happy memories
Must dull the pain,
and soothe my soul
'til I'm with daddy again.
(In loving memory of Frederick Herman Tegtmeier)
